About the papers
All the papers used to produce our products are made by hand .Our main fiber comes from the "Paper-Mulberry" tree ("kozo" in Japanese and "tut neyar " in Hebrew) that we cultivate in our yard and from various other locations around the country. Kozo paper is known for its high quality, strength and translucency. Papers can be used either in their natural rich cream color, or dyed. The fibers are dyed with light-fast mineral pigments . When necessary , papers are coated with natural konyaku starch for extra endurance.

Paper art
This work of art, a collaboration of izushon with paper artist Timna Neumann, titled "Paperation" ,is currently exhibited at the city gallery of Beer-Sheba and at the Wilfrid museum of Eastern art at kibbutz Hazorea.

The "Paperation" exhibition

"In our work, we have created a combination of the stiff, coarse branch and its soft inner bark, which becomes, by laborious work, white, transparent paper. The transition from stiffness and softness passes thru a medium of water, which, in turn, enables this remarkable, seemingly impossible-to-connect combination, and this is the magic ! "
